If a musician plays in the forest and no one is

there to hear it, is it music?

Music has the power to heal and comfort. As musicians, we have seen it perform its magic in our own lives. It is a life-saving power that has carried us through hard times and happy times. We can’t imagine what our life would be like without it. For many musicians this is enough. However, for some, they have turned the power of music outward to their community and their world.

Bringing living music to the daily lives of people is the intention and goal of a Music Hero. A Music Hero is about music making and awakening people to the deep well of happiness that is in all of us. Music clarifies, strengthens, and inspires. It brings people together in celebration and remembrance of our common humanity. Above all, it’s fun.

This site provides products and resources to help us all share the magic with others. It’s about more than benefits concerts, fundraisers, and professional gigs. It’s about real people sharing music face to face. Whether it is bringing music to where none existed, introducing strangers to its joy, or singing in community, we wish to inspire and activate those drawn to the good things music gives us. We invite all to share their experiences and support the efforts of those musicians who strive make a difference in the world.
